NANAIMO BLUES FESTIVAL

Proud to be home to world renown Blues artist Diana Kroll, Nanaimo offers a showcase for local, national and international Blues musicians during 4 days of free outdoor concerts. Bring a blanket for stargazing in venues around town like Diana Kroll Plaza or Maffeo-Sutton Park. Picnic style for families, or cuddled in a dark Martini bar for 2, the sounds are sure to pull and inspire.

NANAIMO HARBOUR OPEN AIR CONCERTS

Happening frequently in summer months, Nanaimo hosts a myriad of musicians Sunday evenings at 6pm. These are free, family friendly events a short walk from Travelodge Nanaimo. Take a picnic and enjoy dinner in the park while listening to blues, jazz, childrens, or classical music.

Nanaimo’s regional museum is a worthwhile introduction to the area’s past.  The new expanded exhibit gallery portrays the unique aspects of Nanaimo’s location, nature and character.

NANAIMO HARBOUR TOURS

For $55 per person, you spend 45 minutes touring around Nanaimo’s inner harbour on the world famous pickle boat.  Also, there is a free walking tour of Nanaimo by Tourism Nanaimo.
